Tabata Interval Training! What? Who? Why?

What exactly is Tabata? A clear description and history of Tabata and HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training). We will review the most current research and studies on Tabata training and its effects on the aerobic/anaerobic thresholds and VO2 Max and many other health benefits of this efficient training style.

Who is doing Tabata? Is this exercise format acceptable for everyone? We will look at how this format has proven effective for multiple levels of athleticism in group exercise and one-on-one personal training.

We will explore the practical implementation of a group exercise format using Tabata intervals and understand which exercises to use and how to use them in different planes of movement and compound exercises to elevate the heart rate and improve metabolism.

Why Tabata?  We will look at the science behind why this specific interval format is the most effective of HIIT programs.
